Job Summary
This position performs a wide variety of support and administrative assistance in areas such as: payroll, warehouse productivity tracking, labor, benefits, and other personnel related needs. Provide assistance and support to warehouse management, DC Personnel Specialist and employees as needed. Perform related work.
Typical Duties and Responsibilities
- Process weekly payroll for hourly warehouse employees including verification of sick pay, vacations and holiday pay. Correct clocking deviations daily and coordinate the collection of transfer sheets.
- Receive and respond to inquiries from the Payroll and Benefits Departments in a timely manner.
- Provide information to employees regarding process to request Personal, Federal and State Leaves. Submit paperwork (FMLA/Protected Leave) to the appropriate protected leave clerk.
- Provide administrative support for processing of worker’s compensation claims such as system input, updating and record keeping. Refer issues to management.
- Input and maintain records of employee documentation including discipline and attendance as directed. Ensure timely processing of documentation, calculation of final hours worked and final check requests.
- Process employee requests for employment and payroll information, vacation eligibility/hours or any other personnel related information.
- Create and maintain identification access cards system for active employees and authorized outside contractors.
- Maintain employee personnel files, ensure retention requirements are met.
- Maintain daily/weekly/monthly warehouse reports and spreadsheets related to productivity, labor and inventory accurately and in a timely manner. Distribute reports to warehouse management.
- Assist with the online application process for assigned location positions (i.e. post open positions, review applications, forward applications to hiring manager for review, conduct phone screens, schedule information meeting or information gathering, schedule interviews, track and process online applicant status timely.)
- Daily accountability of ATM utilized by third-party; balance funds, replenish as needed, send completed reports to sales audit.
- Process and maintain vacation eligibility calendar for employees including coordination of annual sign-ups, processing of new requests and cancellations. Communicate concerns to management.
- Provide administrative clerical support, as needed, for all departments such as facility maintenance, IT and others.
- Process Work boot reimbursements; maintain records.
Requirements
Experience:
- Applying working knowledge of workers compensation and employment law to workplace situations.
- Demonstrating strong analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail in order to effectively monitor progress and complete assignments.

- Prioritizing and performing a variety of simultaneous tasks (multi-tasking).

- Demonstrating working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.) software.

Additional Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years old

Preferred Education, Experience and/or Credentials:
- Two (2) years in a position with responsibility for personnel related activities (or other applicable field).
