Overview

As a member of a great team and company, this position is responsible for developing and creating operational and compliance training content for stores, distribution centers, IT, and our general office. Position will research, develop, and design content that will be used for multiple delivery methods including online learning, job aids, instructor led, remote, synchronous and asynchronous

 

Typical Duties and Responsibilities

Primary Duties

  • Research –Work with subject matter experts to define the learners’ knowledge, skill and performance gaps and expectations.
  • Content Development –Develop learning content on various topics using most appropriate methodology.
  • Design – Transform content into final materials for various formats including online, instructor-led, video, podcast, job aid, check-sheet, or “Leaders as Teachers.”

 

Additional Duties

  • Edit and maintain existing course content. Document and maintain versioning of all content.
  • Provide support and assistance for Learning and Development team as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or needed.

Experience and Skill:

Content Development

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred
  • At least five years’ experience using systematic, instructional-design methods such as ADDIE.
  • At least five years’ experience developing training materials for cross-platform delivery including online learning, job aids, and instructor led, remote, synchronous and asynchronous formats.
  • Experience with eLearning authoring software: Lectora is preferred, but experience with other eLearning authoring tools such as Adobe Captivate

 

Design

  • Experience in content management, SCORM content standards.
  • Experience in visual design in developing training materials, marketing materials, websites, or other visual media; knowledge of basic design concepts.
  • Experience in Microsoft Need strong skills in PowerPoint. Must be adequate in Word, Excel.
  • Experience and proficiency of InDesign (or PageMaker) is preferred; experience with Publisher, Quark, or similar software will be considered.
  • Experience in a drawing program is preferred. Illustrator is preferred, but experience in Snagit, Photoshop, PowerPoint or other drawing software will be considered.
  • Basic knowledge of Photoshop or Lightroom is a plus.
  • Familiarity with video/audio production is a plus. Basic knowledge of Premiere is preferred, but experience in Final Cut, DaVinci Resolve, iMovie, or other film-editing software is acceptable. Some knowledge of Animate or other animation software is a plus.
